Worship

The single most important activity in which we engage as a people is the worship of God. It is this act which distinguishes us from any other social grouping or entity.

As we gather to focus on this encounter with God in the midst of our life together, and celebrate God's presence with us, we become part of a community that transcends time, space, and all other human limitations.

In worship, we hear and respond to God's Word, united with the Church Universal, and share in those sacraments which Jesus commanded his disciples.


Music and the Arts

First Church has an excellent music program that offers people of all ages and degrees of talent an opportunity for involvement.

We believe that the arts provide a vital means of expressing the depth of Christian faith, and we continue to find ways of supporting such expression, whatever the medium employed.


Fellowship

First Church sponsors a variety of fellowship groups for people of all ages. These include:
